About
The Webcomic project began on a whim in November 2008 when Liliy of The Adventures of Wiglaf and Mordred asked for help tweaking her existing website. After about ten minutes of looking at the WordPress theme she was using to publish her comic a decision was made to abandon it and spend the next month working on what eventually became the first release of Webcomic.
That initial release of Webcomic included a number of unique (at the time) features, including unrestricted comic file names, integrated transcribing, and storyline support via the Chapters system. Further updates introduced the ability to manage any number of webcomics on the same WordPress site, user transcribing, buffer tracking, orphan post generation, and more.
Thousands of people have downloaded, implemented, and supported Webcomic since it’s release, and Webcomic continues to be actively developed based on WordPress advancements and user feedback.
The Developer
Webcomic was created and is currently developed by myself, Michael Sisk of maikeruon.com, though it owes quite a bit to Liliy and the many users that have taken an interest in the project. Mike develops Webcomic and related project materials like the manual, video tutorials, and official themes in his free time, largely for fun.
