Webcomic and Inkbot work phenomenal together to best run a webcomic website both easily and efficiently! the template tags are easy to use and also well documented, I found the docs to be a very friendly source of help material.

Webcomic + Inkblot is almost exactly the webcomic management system I’ve been wishing for. Everything makes sense; everything works. With some minor customisation and a handful of other WordPress plugins, I’ve created the website I’ve always wanted, with multiple comic series in the one location — a single website, and a single WordPress install. Everything’s easy to manage now.

Webcomic & Inkblot have been very easy to use and I’m very happy with my website.

When I decided to launch my own webcomic, I was initially discouraged by the overwhelming amount of tools available (that I didn’t necessarily need). Webcomic’s minimalist approach to layout, design and coding was just what I needed. The video tutorials are awesome and helped my overall CSS knowledge in addition to letting me focus on my art more than my technical acumen. Now that my webcomic is launched, I am even more impressed with Webcomic’s ease of use and customization. This plugin+theme combo has made my dreams come true!

Webcomic and Inkblot together make publishing a webcomic so very easy!

Knowing next to nothing about HTML, CSS, or anything of the like, I went ahead and bravely jumped into the pit called starting up a webcomic site. At first I didn’t know anything, and I spent a few days struggling over getting my site set up. But, thanks to Webcomic and Inkblot, I managed to get my site rolling along smoothly. Now I’m making comics in style. Now where’d I put my sunglasses?

While I have only been using Webcomic & Inkblot for a short time, (my site is only a few weeks old) they have been great. It is easy to modify Inkblot, and maintaining a comic in Webcomic is a cinch.

As a cartoonist, my primary focus is on creating an entertaining comic. The publishing of that comic is critical to sharing it with my readers. Finding a flexible yet easy to install, customize and maintain publishing system like Webcomic and Inkblot has really made the publishing part fun. So I just want to say thank you to Mike Sisk for such a great design and all his support. I hope you all will also enjoy reading Bug Pudding.

Webcomic offers all those functions you’ve been looking for - the ability to host multiple comics on a single site, a form to let readers help transcribe your comics, and easy conversion from another plugin. Add in tutorials, support, and documentation and you’ve got yourself a winner!

I’ve recently ‘ported my comic Gone to Ground from Comicpress to Webcomic, and have found that it handles my comic in a much more intuitive and efficient manner… and nothing beats Webcomic for customization! I was able to build a very unique looking site, using only three edited pages from the inkblot theme! Amazing!

My daughter, 8 years old, wanted to create a webcomic as a summer project. Webcomic & Inkblot had us up and running quickly so we could focus on making the comics!

Webcomic has made life so much easier since I started using it. It makes putting up the comic much less of a chore, and means I can worry about other things.

With Webcomic and Inkblot I was able to move over all of my comics over to one WordPress site with ease. And when I did run into snags the Webcomic forums offer excellent support.

I had previously used a home-grown PHP-MySQL system for displaying my webcomics. Maintenance of the codebase was a pain and I soon got tired of it! I wanted to use WordPressMu so that I could host many, many webcomics on one install… but Comicpress simply wouldn’t work right with it. I found Webcomic and Inkblot, and within 1 hour I had duplicated my previous site template as an Inkblot sub-theme and was posting comics with Webcomic. Excellent code and excellent support on the forum. My site is up and running, and I’m happy!

You’ve taken so much of the guesswork out of webcomic publishing - leaving me to focus on the cartooning and the community. And that’s what the whole game’s about.

Webcomic really leaves ComicPress in the dust in terms of functionality and ease of use – well worth a look if you’ve a webcomic site of your own to manage.

Webcomic is very easy to work with! It had everything laid out in a straightforward manner and any questions that I had were quickly answered by Mike in a quick, professional manner. Also, the video tutorials got me up and running quickly. I’m lovin’ it.

Simple plugin, great when used with Inkblot. A site can be up and running in minutes, without any work on your part! :D

Thanks to Mike and Webcomic, I finally got off my butt and designed a website to house all my comics, art and more. As a complete beginner it was a challenge at first, but the documentation and tutorials provided by Mike made it easier with every step. I highly recommend it for any webcomic artist. Good luck!

I’ve been using comicpress for a long time now, but webcomic and inkblot are a definite step up, the integration with wordpress is seamless and all the features you could ask for are provided.

Webcomic gave me an additional level of flexibility that I couldn’t have with Comicpress. I hade been wanting to branch out and give the four panel comic a go but didn’t want to lose my single panel archive. Two templates later and everything worked out beautifully.

When I first launched centraldeviancy.com in 2008, I tried to reinvent the wheel by hand coding the site from scratch. It was a nightmare. Finding webcomic/inkblot was a dream come true. Not only is it totally customizable, but it works with all the existing WordPress plug-ins.

Webcomic & Inkblot allow us to concentrate our energy on content instead of having to worry about the minutia that usually bogs down homegrown solutions. We simply could not have made our site as quickly or as effectively as with these two great tools. It’s the best solution out there.

Finally! I have full control of the style and direction of my comic. It took hours upon hours of tweaking but it is worth it. If you have a passion for cartoons or comics Webcomic & Inkblot are where it’s at!

My first stab at running the webcomic through WordPress was with ComicPress. It didn’t take long for me to start cursing. Fortunately I found this plugin and had the comic up and running in under half an hour. I’d definitely recommed this plugin to anyone looking to host their comic inside WordPress.

When I first started to build a new site, I was initially going to go with Comicpress, but it was such an incredible pain to set up that I was about to give up on WordPress entirely. But Webcomic was completely different and much more fleshed out. It’s easy to use and I was able to make a site that didn’t just look like everything else out there. I even picked up a few CSS skills from the videos. Thanks for your work!
